Workshop - The first look into restoration was a short workshop to do with the movement and the manners, during this workshop we tired on the dresses and how the more lace and longer the selive on the arms on the arms the richer you were for the girls were for the male it was all about the cover muscle.
The picture to the right shows a dress with long sleavs and lace therefore the type of women that
I found learning this help with the mannerism as when researching my character it will help to learn the class and the costume studied for her.
When exploring the walk and the different way to sitting, his was fun but however hurt as using muscles to that are not used today, the back was straight, with hand to one side or by done the side with parm open. also when meeting with some one also to bell as it is consider polite. Also the women would also carry a sexy look to them with their eyes and how they would glance.

(video coming soon- Herriet entry to the dance as mrs Darcy).
this workshop is key as it allows me to apply more to my character with the manners and movement allowing me to connect.
Week 1 Script - Double dealer written by William Congreve
With the first week of the script we done a read through, that allowed us to get a view of the characters and the different relationships. In the spear time I don't relationship trees that i could keep up with how to act when in scene of people . ..
here is a picture as evidence of the tree I put together
when finishing the run through of the script this tree allowed acknowledge of the play plot and helped with language; therefore this has given me an upper hand with understanding and starting my path of my character as it has allowed me to annotate my script with actions and objectives.
Week 2 - BRING TO THE FEET
Week 2 was just running through each scene and bring to the fit, even though we hadn't reach my scene, we still done the pro log and during the lines that i say, i found some of the diction have dropped and articulation due to be lazy, so this will be key to push during this and to really work on.
Rae-Ann your rehearsal blog is great and the picture connecting the characters is fantastic, I've found it very useful.
ReplyDeleteWell done also on mentioning rehearsals even if you haven't practically been onstage rehearsing.
Great work highlighting an area for improvement with your vocal work and we can practice during voice class. Also don't forget if you are not being used in rehearsals you can still be an active member offering feedback to others.
